I guess all countries have interesting places to visit.
You can go to Chile first, you may want to get to know Santiago, and maybe travel south. You can take a bus to Argentina, and then get to Buenos Aires. Then you can cross to Colonia, Uruguay. Then take a bus to Montevideo. Then head to the beaches: Punta del Este – fancy but expensive beach resort- and Rocha – laid back, younger people there. You may also want to head to Brazilian beaches, such as Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis. You may also want to visit Iguazu Falls, and maybe Asuncion, although it’s supposed to be very hot in the summer.
These are some options. You may also want to visit the Inca ruins in Peru.
I guess the cheapest accomodation would be staying at hostels, which is also a good way of meeting people. Here’s the link: http://www.hihostels.com/web/index.en.htm

I’m looking for a course I can go on in South America or Spain, where I can learn Spanish as well as doing other activities, without my parents. I’m 16 years old and live in the UK. It has to be in the summer holidays after the 9th of July. Any ideas? Thanks.

Question by MistyFlower: What are the holidays in July at North America?
I want many different holidays you can think of that are in July. Most important, can you make it a holiday that’s in North America? For a reminder, can you not put made-up Holidays that you make? I don’t need any of your personal made-up holidays. Reply with me with a national holiday, or something close to that.

Question by valerielovesme88: Where should I go in South America?
I’m going to be touring South America for 4-6 weeks next spring (their fall). I don’t have an itinerary yet. What are some DON’T MISS things I need to do/see? I have a short list of my own, but I’m sure there are amazing things not commonly listed in tour guides that only someone who’s been there could fill me in on.
