What can ladies do about there time of the month when traveling in say South America?
Question by Nat: What can ladies do about there time of the month when traveling in say South America?
I am planning to go traveling for 6 months in South America and wondered what i should do about periods, i normally use tampons and obviously these will not be the best choice when im trekking about all over the place carrying only the bare minimal needed, i don’t really want to take any weird drugs that stop my body doing its natural thing but am unsure what else to do other than carrying a ton of tampons around with me, does any one know if tampons are accessible in south america? or what are other alternatives people have tried? help!

tampons are accessible in south america. if you are planning on being in rural areas where there are no shops, I would bring some with you or stock up whenever you are in a town. Otherwise, you’ll have no problem finding them.

no.. there are no tampons in south america.. also no cars, no electricity and no COCA COLA (I know, right?!? damn savages). You can try taking with you a case full of tampons.. maybe open a little business when you get there (imagine all the girls there that don`t know who oprah is.. damn!)
You want some “TennaLadies”. They will be available at farmacias in larger cities.
