for our honeymoon my fiance and i are planning a trip through central and south america on motorcycles. he is an experienced rider but i am not. can anyone help with how to prepare for this trip. what is essential to take ect. we are going on a bmw r1150gs.

Bring your own toilet paper! I’m dead serious. I’d also highly recommend going with a tour/guided group. Safety in numbers in such an excursion. BMW has many resources on their website about travel in South & Central America.
Also, I would hope your not going during the “heavy rainy season” because the already crappy dirt/gravel roads become a huge mess….not to mention the bugs!
