There are a number of “Inca trails” – the most famous is the one to Machu Picchu. As far as I know, for-profit companies operate hikes to Macchu Picchu, but you could try using a search engine online, or wait til you get to Cusco to ask. You can also ask at the thorn-tree form on http://www.lonelyplanet.com
make your own trek for $10 and donate the rest, there are many people who would love some new shoes, food etc. just make your way to the sacred valley from cuzco. local bus will take you there and its easy. I stayed at artisano hospedaje in Pisaq. the owner there also owns Ideas restaraunt. he know newly discoverd ruins similiar to machu picchu but with no tourists. There are ruins and trails all through the area. little villages with modern day inca living way up in the andes, remember its high up in altitude. good luck its great there to emerge yourself in the lost culture
