If you were to present a topic about latin america what would you present? You have an hour to do the presentation and suppose that your audience has no clue about latin america. You dont want to make the topic too broad nor boring. On the contrary, you want to make it as informative as well as entertaining. I suggested poverty but they told me it was too boring so I need new ideas… I tried holidays but its too broad… plz help!!!

I would talk about food – no one ever finds food boring and Latin America has some killer dishes.

Latin America is so big and so diversified any one topic would be very broad. Maybe you could pick one area and talk about the history and colonization. Perhaps the Caribbean coast and the English pirates that preyed on the early Spanish settlements. That could be colorful and entertaining.

Start with the colonization, the influences they had on us, the reason why most of us speak spanish. Talk about our culture, music, dances, foodddddddddd, miths, traditions, that’s interesting, we have so manyyy…….our love for family and community life.
Our geoghrapical diversity (from the andean mountains in south america to the caribbian islands) and the big diversity that there is between one country and another.
Why should poverty be a word to describe us?? oh nooo……i feel sad..
Tell them firstly and mostly what is latin america, what coutries constitute it, why they constitue them. After you tell them that, tell them about the different languages spoken in those countries, the different accents, even in the same country(Colombia) the traditions, the natural dishes.
