yes, it is a national holiday in brazil. all banks, schools, etc. are closed.
The dia de los muertos as it is referred to is a major holiday and celebrated publicly in both countries. To sum it up, it is one for remembering the ancestors that have passed on and to celebrate the youth that now exist.
All catholic countries celebrate de day of dead. Is kind a religious Halloween.
yes it is!! and for some odd reason, it usually rains on this day! (at least in Sao Paulo state!)
