The first thing that comes to my mind are the paintings of the Bellinis who often painted festivals in Venice during the Renaissance. Caneletto and Guardi, two painters in the 18th century often painted festivals at Venice. These usually show regattas at Venice on the Grand Canal. Although they lived later than the Renaissance, they show the same traditional festivals. I would recommend going to the library and looking up books on Venetian painting or on Jacopo Bellini, Caneletto or Guardi. I guess you can also look up stuff Online. I hope that this has been a help to you.
