Large tracts of rain forests are being cleared in South America?
Question by Country Girl: Large tracts of rain forests are being cleared in South America?
What effect will this have on the carbon-oxygen cycle?
Best answer:
Answer by DKT
trees use carbon dioxide for respiration, and inreturn release oxygen.
if theres no trees to take in Carbon dioxide , no oxygen is released ,this contributes to global warming and if ur answering a question for geography u can link this also to the water cycle(no transpiration or protection for the soil so the soil erodes)
