Is it safe to drive around Argentina.?
Question by Claire: Is it safe to drive around Argentina.?
I want to go on holiday in Argentina but would like to stay at a few different places and possibly drive around there with my husband. Is this a safe thing to do? Has anyone done this and can recommend somewhere nice to go that is really beautiful and not built up?

I think you are much better off taking public transportation – like subways and buses.

You are probably going to want to avoid driving in Buenos Aires unless you have nerves of steel because the drivers here drive like mad men. Buses are always pulling out from the curb with no regard for any car that it may be pushing into oncoming traffic and taxi drivers are in such a hurry to make a quick buck that they don“t care about you.
But once you get away from the city and from Greater Buenos Aires itself, driving is relitivly stress free, and is much safer.
