Me and my partner will be traveling to South America next June for 2 months, and would like some guidance on how much money we would need for the time spent there, including Travel between different countries, Hostels, Food and some tours

well, two people (sharing room I guess), traveling two months, different countries (which means traveling air and land), and also some tours, I would say between two to three thousand dollars each (doesn’t include getting there). That is, of course, if you want to leave a good impression in the places you go, but if you wanna do backpacking (not the kind of tourists we like there), you’ll spend much less, even tough I hardly would think less than 15 hundred each of you.
So, save money, and once there, have a good time (and don’t forget to tip as you do here)
The second answer is probably close at $1,500 but it could be much more. All depends on the level on which you want to do things.
