ok so i am wanting to go across South America, well actually i want to go from Peru, down chili across to Argentina and then up to Brazil! Estimating, how much am i looking to spend?

Peru and Argentina are much cheaper than Brazil and Chile. In Peru and Argentina you will need if you stay in hostels and budget hotels about USD per day give or take a few dollars depending on what you like to do. In Brazil and Chile you will need a bit more. But you should also go to Bolivia which is one of the best countries in SA.

it depends of how many days you want to stay in each country and how are you traveling, airplane , bus, etc.
I will say 800 per country if you want to sleep under a roof, if you want to play bumb and walk on bare foot and dirty you will probably get assaulted. They know when you are a tourist, the best is to make friends online v=before visiting any country. Good luck
