Honeymoon in South America? Chile, Peru, Argentina?
Question by Nick F: Honeymoon in South America? Chile, Peru, Argentina?
Are there any luxury or Island resorts in interesting places for a Honeymoon? We love wine, culture and history but have no idea where to start thinking about a South American honeymoon! We’d love good weather, a chance to relax, as well as explore, we are travelling from Melbourne. Any experiences or advice?

There are nice beaches on the north coast of Colombia and in Venezuela and also the north/east coast of Brazil. Wine country in Argentina is near Chile in the city of Mendoza. You could fly up to Peru after that maybe. I am currently on the north coast of Colombia, you would like the beaches up here east of Santa Marta and also you could see the historical old city of Cartagena a few hours west. It is safe up here, many tourists come to the north coast of Colombia, you can dive or learn how to, dance the night away and enjoy a warm climate.
Cartangena, Colombia is very beautiful! So Much history and has cute little towns. Also, if you want more of a tropical, relaxed area, go to San Andres Island. You can snorkel, Scuba Dive, or just take a long watch on the beach. Have Fun.
suree! i’m from chile, ovbiusly for me the best country for me among this three is chile, but being objective the best wine is from chile, about different culture peru it would be better than chile or argetina, and argetina is beautiful country i visit it and the people is really lovely.
in peru you have tu visit machu picchu, in argetina the patagonia is really beautiful!!
in chile you have so many differents places to visit..in the north atacama desert, the religius party “la tirana”, geyser del tatio, the beach of bahia inglesa (it look like caribbean), in punta de choros you can diving, or if you like surf you can go to pichilemu, or ski in andes mountains, also you have big cities like santiago or valparaiso (chilean legislative capital). ViƱa del mar is the most popular beach of the country. more in the south you have several lakes, and quites towns, and the chiloe island far south you have to visit torres del paine, laguna san rafael, punta arenas, and tierra del fuego.
the rapa-nui island is amazing and very different to the rest of the country… also in chile there’s to many islandsthat you can visit
we had an amazing Honeymoon in Chile and Argentina certainly recommend it as there are a great mix of hidden gem hotels as well as some uber grand ones. highlights were Buenos Aires, wine region, and patagonia. We used a local specialists dehouche.com who managed to distill down what we wanted to 3 or 4 great locations. I think the Majestic landscapes are perfect for a honeymoon – we had the best trip ever!
