We could turn Columbus day into a booze and candy thing. Add a football game, masquerade, turkey and presents… it would be THE holiday.

I think it’s a great idea. North America, Central America and South America are the “America’s” in the world. Unfortunately, there are too many people in North America, particularly the United States that don’t seem to realize there is any other America, besides the U.S. Shamefully, most people in the U.S. think they’re better than anyone else and probably aren’t even aware there are other America’s. With the illegal immigration problem that exists here which has become quite controversial, I have my doubts that the people in the U.S. even recognize Central, or South America as being America in any way, shape, or form. The U.S. has turned into one of the most hateful, bigoted and prejudiced countries on Earth. Not everyone of course, or even the majority, but those handful of people, which translates into tens of millions, would probably scoff at the idea. If I lived in Central, or South America, I wouldn’t even want to be associated with anything that has to due with the U.S., at least not until those people no longer existed, or went away. The U.S. has a population of 350 million people, so tens of millions is definitely the minority and cause all the problems. Be proud of who you are and where you come from and as someone who lives in the U.S., I’m suggesting you erase the United States from your mind, until the turmoil that’s going on here is over. The problem is called “The Republican Party”, who don’t want change, progression and live in their fantasy worlds.

Yes, and it should be in the same day of the mentally ill.
