Question by pb335: Does anyone know good ski resort in South America?
I’m looking for romantic ski resort somewhere on South American Andes. My husband and I are planning our big anniversary vacation and would like to visit Andes during winter (snowing) time. We are not good skiers (we will attempt to learn more), so we are just looking for a good time. We prefer lodges or cute private cabins. Please send some advice!

I don’t know about any actual resorts, but San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina is beautiful. I went in the summer (no snow) but it was still gorgeous.

I don’t know if you want to/can afford to go so far south but Ushuaia is BEAUTIFUL! And, it’s the last city before Antarctica. You can ski at El Fin Del Mundo (The end of the earth). It’s a gorgeous little town, picturesque. This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever seen.

Mendoza is also a great place, the wine country of Argentina, surrounded by the Andes.
