Cheapest trips to South America?
Question by Demontrooper: Cheapest trips to South America?
I would like to go on a trip to South America with my girlfriend, spend alot of time in the beautiful rainforests as well. We would fly from New York City, spend maybe a weekend (3-4 nights at the most, but 2 nights would be ideal), and do this in May or June of 2010. Any recommendations, from personal experiences or research, for hotels, flights, and adventures?
I would love to canoe down the amazon; hike through the rainforest….. Hostels are up for consideration if anyone wants to recommend any. Please let me know the costs….
Thanks guys!

To go for that short is a waste of time. You won’t see anything.

South America has beautiful places to see: The ruins of Machu Picchu, Cape Horn, The Strait of Megallan, The Amazon River, The Andes, Ushaia: I will warn you to take a Yellow Fever shot if you are going into Brazil, especially Foraleza or Devil’s Island… You will not be admitted on Brazillian without proof of vaccination. You must obtain a visa from the Brazillian consulate. On the east coast, it should be easy, on the west coast, you will have to appear in person,… Start working on that now..You want to fly into Manaus… Rio De Janiero is a very dangerous city so be extremely careful…The St Ritz hotel is my favorite.. Omni Air International and Lan Airways are awesome.. I would rather see you go on a cruise ship..
Peru and Brazil are the best countries to visit, the amazon in peru, the beaches of brazil, machupichu peru etc
Traveling is never a waste of time. I advise you to go travel the north of Brazil al that time. Incredible places and beaches. Check Pipa en BR
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
