Brainrotting: Episode 14 – Uruguay, Argentina & Paraguay BMW F650gs Adventure Motorcycle Overland
I ride and I record. There’s no editing of video’s when I’m back at home, my video’s are all edited on the road because I want to share my experiences as they happen, so… Follow my journey through North, Central and South America. I’ve jacked in the job, packed my life into a pair of panniers and a roll bag and tied them down to a BMW F650 Dakar. Now it’s time for some fun. In this video I ride from Montevideo back into North Argentina and then head up to Iguazu Falls

1:0 Pablo Dorado (12.) 1:1 Carlos Peucelle (20.) 1:2 Guillermo Stábile (37.) 2:2 Pedro Cea (57.) 3:2 Victoriano Santos Iriarte (68.) 4:2 Hector Castro (90.) The 1930 World Cup final was thus contested between the finalists from the 1928 Olympics, Uruguay and Argentina. The final was played at the Estadio Centenario on July 30. The stadium gates were opened at eight o’clock, six hours before kick-off, and at noon the ground was full, officially holding 93000 people. A disagreement overshadowed the build-up to the match as the teams disagreed on who should provide the match ball, forcing Federation to intervene and decree that the Argentine team would provide the ball for the first half and the Uruguayans would provide their own for the second. The game ended 4-2 to Uruguay (who had trailed 2-1 at half time) who added the title World Cup winners to the mantle of Olympic Champions, as Jules Rimet presented the World Cup Trophy, which was later named for him. The following day was declared a national holiday in Uruguay; in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires a mob threw stones at the Uruguayan consulate. Only one player from that final, Francisco Varallo (who played as a striker for Argentina), is still alive as of 5 February 2010. www.wikipedia.org

The Brain Surgeon returns! After watching LWR, LWD and Race to Dakar (all within the last week!) I am convinced that you have one of the best travelogues going, Graham. Good to see you back in the saddle. Just one thought – the legend of Che eclipses his full story.
Only discovered brainrotting while researching for a BMW F650 – so glad I did!
Inspirational, funny, and educational (kind of).
Hope I get to meet up sometime in the future. All the best mate.
@easyg1409, Not just a pain to carry Graham but keeping all the gear in one piece as well as not getting gear nicked would be a pain as well; hope the new camera didn’t break the bank?!
Hope that no more hassles come your way (finger’s X) & I look forward to another video, have a great time over ther but do play it safe! See ya mate, & no I didn’t watch the aussie’s last night…don’t tell me that they actually won a match??!!! Have a good one mate.
@easyg1409, Just had a look at your blog the other day, you’ve done quite a few things but I always thought that you had to have some I.T tricks up your sleeve & now I know how/why. At least your living your dream which is something that I am yet to do & yes its biking but on a huge scale if I can ever pull it off?! No, I’m not having a mid-life crisis either…not that old LOL. Well enjoy football; oh & we now have a female PM…God I wish I was over there (sigh) better than here LOL. Cheers
@easyg1409 I think you have already nailed it honestly.
Ty
@DanoPomo Thank you… glad you liked it. Next episode will be Paraguay, Sao Paulo & Rio De Janeiro but I’m caught up in world cup fever right now so I’m a bit distracted
@Kinley1978 Wow, thank you. I received some good advice from an old friend regarding voice overs and I think the video is better for it. I’ll probably start to nail this video editing business when the trip is over and there are no more videos to produce!
@Rashnak66 You have fantastic taste! My Panasonic camcorder broke, I dropped it. Doh! But I picked up a new one in Paraguay so I’m still filming. Carrying and looking after technology on a trip like this can be a pain.
@anzac2404 Good to hear form you and I’m pleased to see that you’re still watching. Just had a nightmare trying to import spare parts in Paraguay but things are good now. I’m in Brasil enjoying the world cup and hoping that your Kiwi cousins pull off a miracle and qualify for the knock out stages. Sao Paulo is proving to be great fun.
@bassbint72 the greatest pressure I have is finding a “toilet of the month” for each episode. The next video will be for Paraguay & Sao Paulo/Rio De Janeiro
@bighaasfly Great to know that you’re still watching. I’ve just moved across to editing on a Mac which has helped make the video look a little slicker.
@j25ack I thank you
@jonnyacapulco Just started to using a Mac to edit with, I think it makes the videos much cleaner. I’m glad you appreciate my sense of humour
@bigderek07 Thanks Derek. Glad to know you’re still watching
Brainrotting is back!! Dude fantastic as per usual!
As always… another great video!!!
That video was nothing short of awesome. One of my favorites and one of the best so far.
very nice- as always. Really the best motorcycle travelogue I have seen. Which camera broke? Some nice effects in there.
Great to see that you’ve made it back…back to doing what you do so well! Hope that all is well over there, so here’s to a safe journey, good food, great people & another fun-filled video?! Brainrotting…its what we all would rather be doing LOL; all the best Graham & keep up the great work, cheers!
brilliant Graham!! Keep ‘em coming! XX
Very nice! Welcome back to the road Graham! Must be nice to be back on Shakira (sp?) again
Hi Graham, well done. Video looks great and your presenting skills are improving. I can see a real difference since Monopoly!
I especially like the only gay in the village beach wear – very tight!
Hi Graham, great work as usual…
It’s nice to know that you’re back on the road and showing us those monuments of human loneliness and introspection – the shitter…:-))
Have a safe journey and do keep us posted pleaaase!
great stuff! looking forward to more of the same – same but different.
Glad to see you back on the road. Look forward to more!
It’s Black And White,NO!!!!
Hopefully in Brazil 2014 it will be an all South American final again.

12 people are argentinians
what is the name of this song?
@AldoAlonso89 , problem is…there were no world cups in the 1920′s! first world cup was 1930!
@AldoAlonso89
You must mean the Olympic cups of 1924 and 1928 surely?
@AldoAlonso89
You must mean the Olympic cups of 1924 and 1928 surely?
@AldoAlonso89 Bad news, there were no 1924 and 1928 world cups
