Question by King Kee: Where did Easter Eggs, Santa Claus, etc. originate, and how did they become related to our holidays today?
Well, actually, I know that Easter Eggs and Santa Claus are from the Dutch.
But how did things like these become associated with Easter, Christmas, etc?

for santa it was because the germans would tell their children that if they would be good all year that they would get a treat at the end of the year from a thing called ‘St. Nick’. Now when it came to american they called him Santa Claus.. but the same reason. They, the parents, used a figure to get the children to believe that Santa watches over them, just like your parents watch over you.
