well, an outfit that is appreciated is the yellow suspenders, plaid sleeveless shirt, and yellow hat to match the suspenders. It’s very fashionable currently in Sweden

Sweden has a traditional national costume, called ‘Sverigedräkten’ (the Sweden dress). People are most likely to wear it for National Day celebrations (June 6) or midsummer’s eve celebrations. The Queen of Sweden usually wears it on June 6, but the King prefers an ordinary suit (see link #3 below). Even on those days, only a small percentage of Swedes wear them.

The skirt is blue, similar to the Swedish flag, the bodice is red or blue and the apron is yellow. They are made of light wool. The blouse and headdress (white) are usually cotton. You will find much more info and pictures on the two sites provided. They both have text in English as well as Swedish, and lots of pictures.

Regional folk costumes, ‘folkdräkt’ are what the Sweden dress is based on. Again, you’ll see them out and about usually on June 6, midsummer’s eve or any public folk dance performance. There are many different ones described and pictured, from all of Sweden (link #1) and from the county of Scania/Skåne (link #2).
