how to carry a 5 months old baby on a holiday trip?
Question by dep1212: how to carry a 5 months old baby on a holiday trip?
Dear All
I was a bit confused as how we would carry our baby on a holiday trip to france for 3 days. It would be difficult to carry the car seat with me all over. This is the first time I am going for a holiday with my baby so have no knowledge about this. Could someone please give their honest suggestions.
Thanks very much.

Hey! how exciting a trip to france with your babe! Grab a baby bjorn or some sort of snugli. It’s kind of like a back pack that you strap onto yourself. It keeps baby safe and secure either facing you or facing out so he can see the sights too. It allows you to keep your arms free, and watch your baby all at the same time. Hope you have a great trip.

Well for me …my child’s safety is more important than the inconvenience of lugging an infant seat around.
I’ll be traveling alone to another state for 5 days with My 5 month old AND my 4 year old…and I’m bringing my infant seat AND my toddler seat.
The seats will stay in the rental car…and I’ll “carry” my infant in a Moby wrap since that’s less of a PITA than the baby carrier.
Difficult or no…..Safety first.
We took my son to Morocco when he was about 8 months old and I never carried him around in his car seat, I agree with the baby sling or carrier. It’s better to spend a little more money on these so you have full back support. It’d go for either a Moby or Sleepy if you’re wanting a wrap, but an Ergo if you want a carrier. He’s 5 months old so probably the Ergo would be the BEST option. Have a fun and SAFE trip!
you can use the carrier that you have the baby in the front and she will be with you at all times or you can use the stroller but i love the carrier better because you have the baby in your arms the hole time but the only down side of that is your back is going to hurt and if you don’t know what im talking about here is the web site to see http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2864800
If you’re using a car, baby will need a carseat while IN the car. (For both safety and legal reasons.)
When you’re walking around (exploring the town on foot, walking on the beach, whatever), a sling or a stroller/push-chair, depending on your preference and the weather. (A sling can be very hot for mother and baby if the weather will be sweltering.) You leave the car seat fastened into the car.
I LOVED my Moby Wrap. They are so versitile and comfortable. Plus even dad can use it to carry baby every now and then to give you a break.
