Hi,
I have my spanish speaking exam on monday, but I didn’t get a chance to ask my teacher to check over some of my answers. I think the basics for these are right, it’s just the grammar and smaller details and such. I just thought I’d get a second opinion to make sure I’m learning the right stuff (and I’m sure a GCSE level spanish student shouldn’t really be trusted to get everything right).
These are my answers in spanish, and the the english is below.
1)Prefiero viajar en tren porque es facil de utilizer, comodo y bastante barato.
I prefer to travel my train because it is easy to use, comfortable and quite cheap.
2)My familia tiene una villa en Grecia porque hace buen tiempo, y las personas son muy corteses y generosas.
My family have a villa in Greece because the weather is good there, and the peple are very polite and generous.
3)Visitamos muchos monumentos en Grecia, por ejemplo el Pueblo Viejo, que es la mas antigua pueblo medieval habitada de Europa. Creo que fue muy interesante y bello. Pero mi monumento preferido era la Acropolis de Lindos porque no era como cualquier cosa que habia visito antes.
We visited many monuments in Greece, por example the Old Town, which is the oldrest medieval town in Europe. I think it was very interesting and beautiful. But my favourite monument was the Acropolis of Lindos, because it was not like anything I had seen before.
4) Me voy a Granada con mi madre, padre y mi amigo. My hermano se habria unido a nosotros, sino que se va de vacaciones con su amigo, al mismo tiempo.
I am gonig to Granada with my mum, dad and my friend. My brother would usually join us, but he is going on holiday with his friend at the same time.
5) Visite Espana hace dos anos con mi familia. Permaneci en un hotel cerca de Madrid, donde habia muchas atraciones y monumentos de ver. Yo lo pase muy bien.
I visited Spain two years ago with my family. We stayed in a hotel near Madrid, where there were many attractions and monuments to see. I had a good time.
6)Mis vacaciones ideales serian en Laponia en Navidad, porque me encanta el ambiente festivo y no estaria como cualquier otras vacaciones.
My ideal holiday would be in Lapland at Christmas, because I love the festive atmosphere and it would not be like any other holiday.
I’m sure there are many mistakes in there (especially number 3) and it would be boring for you to look at all of them, but even if you can just give me a bit of guidance with one of them it would be greatly appreciated.
