en.wikipedia.org James Earl “Jimmy” Carter, Jr. (born October 1, 1924) served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981 and was the recipient of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize, the only US President to have received the Prize after leaving office. Prior to becoming president, Carter served two terms in the Georgia Senate followed by the governorship of the state of Georgia, from 1971 to 1975,[2] and was a peanut farmer and naval officer. Carter ignited debate in September 2009 when he stated, “I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he is African-American.”[130][131] Obama disagreed with Carter’s assessment. On CNN Obama stated, “Are there people out there who don’t like me because of race? I’m sure there are…that’s not the overriding issue here. On June 7, 1979 President Jimmy Carter decreed that June would be the month of black music. For the past 28 years, presidents have announced to Americans that Black Music Month (also called African American Music Month) should be recognized as a critical part of American heritage. Black Music Month is highlighted with various events urging citizens to revel in the many forms of music from gospel to hip-hop. African-American musicians, singers, and composers are also highlighted for their contributions to the nation’s history and culture.[98] Less widely observed outside of the African American community

Why is South Africa like this?

Question by : Why is South Africa like this?
I have just returned from a holiday in Europe. It was a amazing experience and I had the time of my life. It is so alive their and there is so much energy and such a positive vibe, but as soon as my plane landed in South Africa I felt as if my heart just came to a stop. Don’t get me wrong SA is my home but it is nothing like the rest of the world. It is so dead here, you don’t have the opportunities that are in Europe and as a teenager I feel so isolated! There is nothing I can do and nowhere I can go without asking my mom to drive me. There is no night life, no freedom! You cant walk on the streets! Forget about the safety problems, but even if you wanted to walk on the streets its not like the USA for example, there is nothing! Just roads and dry grass! When I was in Europe my depression was gone but as soon as I arrived in SA it came back dont get me wrong my parents would have had no chance of having work in Europe as they do here and we would probably be poor! But money isnt everything, what do you think I should do???

What should i do about my religious experience?

Question by : What should i do about my religious experience?
I was recently on holiday in Africa i was on my own checking out some caves when i heard a mysterious voice he said his name was الطيور الكبيرة (big bird in english) and he told me that i have been chosen to spread the good news, joy and love that he has brought the world. He sent his only son Elmo to save us, Elmo died for our sins and now we shall be saved but only if we believe he exists. If we not believe or we betray him as the Cookie monster did when you die you will be sentenced to an eternity in a dust bin, but if you do believe and worship Big Bird and only him when you die you will enjoy an eternity in a joyous little place called Sesame Street. He also gave me a location for the first ancient scroll written by a nun named Abby Cadabby. I currently have that scroll in my possession. It all seems very true and very logical. Who should i talk to about my findings?

Europe/africa tours for 16 year old?

Question by luna92: Europe/africa tours for 16 year old?
Are there any places that offer tours (like contiki but not contiki lol) for 16 year olds even without a guardian?
Can a 16 yo go alone overseas and stay at hotels etc?

Best answer:

Answer by Willeke
16 year olds can travel in Europe, but I would advice against traveling alone for one as young as that.
Better go with a tour.
Your travel agent might be able to find you one.

I know there are the People to people tours, but you seem to need an invitation for them, and they seem to cost a lot for the time they run.

And whatever kind of travel, best bring a letter of permission from both your parents, mostly you will not need it, but if you need to book a flight back home in an emergency, you often need parental permission till you are 18.

Q&A: to what extent do you regard the Portuguese adventure to the east coast of Africa a complete failure?

Question by shodeke o: to what extent do you regard the Portuguese adventure to the east coast of Africa a complete failure?

Best answer:

Answer by aboukir200
I’m not sure it was. It opened a trade route to the East, and in the process created a degree of prosperity, at least for the Portuguese, and increased knowledge of the area.

Rholands Bow Hunting Game Farm and Safaris – Limpopo – South Africa

Snippets from a Corporate Film I made for the Rholand Bow Hunting Game Farm and Safaris in the north of South Africa in the province of Limpopo. The farm is situated 16 kilometers from the Limpopo river and is one of the best kept secrets in the hunting trade. The owners bought the farm a few years ago and have been stocking up on lots of fresh bloodline animals. So the outlook for fantastic breeding is soon to be realised. The farm is one of the best managed farms in this country and their first bow hunting season opens up in 2012. Rifle hunts will not be allowed as not a single rifle shot has been fired on this farm for years now. It is then safe to say that the animals are living in complete peace…There are very few game farms in this country that can offer animals that. And the owners aim to keep it that way. The accommodation at the farm is outstanding and if you would like to book for a bow hunt , a holiday, a bush conference for around 20 persons or just for a getaway then you may contact Johann Greeff on the following number.. international call 12 82 3365480 local call 082 3365480 funkyfrogproductions@gmail.com Bow hunt season kicks off around winter time in 2012
