Why are my parents acting weird?

Question by Fdfgdgs Gfghsdh: Why are my parents acting weird?
I live in New Zealand and this year both my parents have managed to book their holiday leave (when they just relax at home) at the same time as my school holidays. This has happened 3 times this year and its really pissing me off. They didn’t do this for the last 4 years and i much more enjoy my holidays when theres no one to bug me and tell me what to do around house etc, i sometimes feel like just blasting music for whole day or maybe be naked for whole day etc, i cant do this when they are home and dont go to work. Only things thats changed is that Ive finally found where im going to uni and thats away from home and ive now got a girlfriend. They know we do “stuff” and have nothing against it so i dont think they are trying to interfere or restrict that. They also keep on saying its not that they are “not letting go of me” (im only child). At the same time they keep on saying “its just coincidence” but thats total bullshit cause they have had holiday leave exactly when my last 3 school holidays were. I just understand why they do this.
Im a guy and they’ve let me home alone since i was 8 and ive been responsible all my life and never lied to them. Ive basically been the perfect son with great grades etc.

since you are going away to uni perhaps they just want to spend a little time ith you before you leave home

you want to blast music, you want to walk around naked, you want your girlfriend over , you want to be alone

then pay your own rent somewhere for a place of your own

jeez the nerve of your parents eh????

  1. They are going to miss you silly!!! They probably just want to be around as much as they can before you go….Yes that is a pain is the *#@ but they love you and care about you. It definitely ain’t a coincidence.

well matey, have you ever thought that they are going to really miss you when you go to uni and that they just wanted to spend some value time with you before you go?
dont make such an issue of it, they are your parents and they want to spend some time with their child because they probably feel like this is the last chance before you go off and do you own thing

Yay NZ rocks (I live here too)!!!

Your parents are just realizing your going to be gone soon. My mum did this too except every Saturday and Sunday she got me up at 9am to spend time with me and she reduced her hours at work. It is painful but it’s not for long.

If you are feeling smothered then go over to your girlfriends for the day/night are be naked there.
