I think when people say ‘Australia’ the city that comes to mind is Sydney. Sydney is good but if I were you, I would go to Melbourne (like you’ve listed) or Brisbane. I personally think Sydney is over rated. And if you go to Brisbane and you have the funds, the Great Barrier Reef is near by and there’s Australia Zoo….many things to do

PERTH, some of my family live in perth and they adore the lifestyle there, i went to stay there for three weeks and it was the best holiday i ever had !!!
All of them. I love Sydney so interesting and such a beautiful Harbour. Public transport is very good. I love Perth but one is better to have a hire car there. . You don’t mention Brisbane ,perhaps you have been but at the moment some hotels are half price on the Gold Coast and the weather is just glorious.
I would prefer Sydney . Because there are lot of things to do in Sydney .
Sydney attractions include lunch,dinner and sightseeing cruises, opera house tour, Sydney harbour bridge climb, sydney aquarium, blue mountain tours, etc .
These all are entertainment activities good for family as well as youngsters..
The real Australia is not the concrete jungle you call Sydney, Melbourne or Perth. Get out to Uluru, go snorkeling in the great barrier reef, and then go snowboarding in the snowy mountains. Don’t spend all your time in the city, otherwise youll waste your holiday. Theres more to Australia then the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
none of the above just go straight to south east queensland there’s goldcoast brisbane and sunshine coast
I’d say Sydney or Melbourne. Thats where most things are. You have the party and goings on in the city, but also some landscape and scenery just outside the cities.
Sydney – you can go up to the mountains, harbour bridge, opera house, zoo, aquarium, cruise, beaches
Melbourne – great ocean road drive, federation square, MCG, rod laver arena, trams, beaches
