Not sure about your preferences stops, departure / arrival times, red eye flights etc. but I would suggest you to take a look at http://www.sidestep.com site. It works out great when I look for flights from USA to Istanbul.

    From Sidney, Gulf Air is the cheapest. Other than that Singapur Airlanes is cheap as well.
