What will the weather be like in Australia and New Zealand in the middle to end of February?

Question by Aussie Traveller: What will the weather be like in Australia and New Zealand in the middle to end of February?
We are planning a holiday (cruise actually) and I cannot find any info on the temperature or weather conditions that we might expect. Any ideas?

As far as I know, it’s the reverse there – winter in US., summer there. I was in Australia in the middle of July and it was cold as winter.
Hope this helps.

You can go to Google and and ask for yearly weather in Australia and it will tell you.

  2. Depends where in Australia?

Sydney will be warm to hot and humid with afternoon storms on some days.

  3. February is the last month of summer for Australia and New Zealand. It’s cooler the further south that you go but it should be beautiful with bright blue skys! Make sure you have plenty of sun screen.

hot! It’s the hottest summer month. it depends on where you go as to what type of heat though, on the east coast it is the storm season and in the centre it is dry

  6. Warm! Feb is the last month of summer so you can expect heat heat heat and more heat! Often our summer weather tends to flow into march so be prepared, especially if you are from a cold weathered country.

Hot & dry in the Southern areas

Hi there I am originally for Australia and it will be extremely hot in February. That is the peak time for Australia’s summer so expect hot temps. Depending on where you are going it will get hotter the more North that you go. So Brisbane you can expect temps to range from
25 to 35 degrees. The evenings will cool down alot so take at least one sweater. Have fun

If you are cruising through the Whitsundays or Northern Australia, it will be hot and humid. Where I live in NSW it can get to 45 Degrees Celcius (118 Degrees Farenheit). Expect temps of 35 degrees C.

Do you know how big Australia is? Where I am in Perth, it’s closer to India than it is to New Zealand.

So, where are you going exactly? lol :)
