    Here’s what I do during long flights. Bring a book, eventually I’ll get bored of reading, so get a laptop too (stuff it with movies AND series that you can watch). Get your iPod too,
    I’ll suggest starting with watching stuff on your laptop, then listen to music, them read a book (this sequesmce will make u sleepy). Then the rest of the flight can be sleeeeeeeeeeep :D
    Have a nice trip!!!

    Watch the movie; read; eat; sleep; do a sudoku and a crossword; join the mile-high club.

    Hah, we must be trading destinations. : ) I’m heading off to New Zealand in a few weeks. Luckily flights will normally only take 3-4 hours and are far less grueling than others. 9 hours to Japan was insane to me! Anyway, here are some ideas of what you can do to pass the time, and things I plan on doing;

    ~ Bring your iPod along and update a playlist with music that will make you chill out a bit. I have some of my favourite tracks on a playlist as well as a few TV shows and movies that I can play at any time. The screen also doesn’t give me headaches like the ones I get from the TV monitor on the back of the plane seats.

    ~ Books will also help pass the time. You can get started on a new novel and take advantage of the time where you aren’t required to be doing anything else. Flip through magazines, write in a journal or do something like that.

    ~ Take a nap so you’re energized for your trip. Even short flights can make you feel a bit drowsy afterwards.

    Like I said, it’s only 3-4 hours so it shouldn’t be that much of a challenge to stay occupied. Don’t be nervous, though! Try and focus on your destination and how much fun you’re going to have. : )
