The UK has working holiday agreements with Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the USA. In most cases you must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and can work in these countries for up to 12 months (except USA and Singapore).

UK citizens are allowed to work in Singapore for six months only. For South Africa you must be a full-time student or recent graduate to apply for a working holiday visa. The US program is only four months long and held each summer — you must be a full-time student to be eligible.

P.S. – If you have access to Irish citizenship through an Irish-born parent or grandparent, you can work in the US for up to 12 months using an Irish passport. The US and Ireland have a reciprocal work and travel holiday visa program.
