I left my Sony HDR-HC7 Camcorder at home in the States, and I want my friend to mail it to me here in Australia. I’m a US Citizen, and here in Australia for a month for a holiday. Does anyone know what the customs procedure would be like if the package was opened and they found a camcorder? It’s open and not new-in-box, and I’m leaving the country with it in one month, but I just don’t want it to get stuck in customs forever and don’t want to have to pay import tax on it or just not be able to retreieve it at all. Any advice?
