Traveling to Fiji with a 17month old. What do I pack for him?

Question by purrley: Traveling to Fiji with a 17month old. What do I pack for him?
We are off to Fiji for ten days this Sunday. We are staying at two different resorts, one on the mainland and one on Castaway island.
I want to be totally prepared so we can all enjoy our holiday. The resorts only have a small shop selling sun cream etc..
What should I pack for my 17 month old son.
HELP!!!

I would deffo take enough nappies as they don’t seem to sell decent ones abroad, take any medicines you may need – calpol bonjela etc.. bum cream if necessary take baby sun cream with at least factor 40 and I would take plenty of wipes

  2. i am an ex fiji citizen. babies in fiji at this time of year get really hot and upset. so creams for nappy rash, sunscreen, nappies are available there but more expensive than in other countries. most importantly take some sort of insect repellent. babies are always getting mosquito bites. main two things to be wary of are just the heat and insect bites. also just remember at nights depending where you are it gets cold. so there is extreme in weather.

take all the other normal things you think is best but just remember fiji does have chemists and supermarkets… it is a developing country but it has most of the things you want to buy in your own country. if you forget something buy it there.
