Another must stop location on the backpacker migration up north. Had a ball in Airlie, went out on a boat yesterday to snorkel the reef. The colours of the coral and the diversity of the fish life just blew me away. Thanks to Jetstream for the trip. Also checked out the Barefoot Bushmans Wildlife Park where you can see a variety of Aussie wildlife including a great crocodile show. Tomorrow I go out on a 54 foot Classic Schooner, the Atlanta , for a morning cruise before heading off to Magnetic Island. It’s a hard life….. In Airlie I decided that given it is such a big location for back packers, instead of interviewing an Aussie local, I would interview a back packer working at Airlie. Irish girls and guys are fantastic backpackers. Having worked in Internet cafes for 3 years I never met an Irish I didn’t get on with. They are mature, smart, down to earth and fun as. Cant say the same about Brits Germans or Americans but just my experience
Must say I like Irish tourists having worked at Internet cafes for a few years I got to meet tourists often and I never met an Irish touristy backpacker type I didn’t get on with. The worst type were German girls who were damn cheap followed by british girls lastly American girls. They just seemed more uptight that’s just my experience no offense meant

Cool video, the nice parts of Sydney are very nice, but the bad parts are well, downright terrible. For holidays fantastic, but Brisbane is nicer, even though I run a website called escape sydney ha ha. I love Sydney though, interesting place and pretty vibrant.

i get pissed off when i read, saw hear multicultural australia or any country in the world. either darwin is right or bible is right.
