Summer holidays is so big deal in spain instead of australia…. spain?
Question by Mamomnth Kovicgreek: Summer holidays is so big deal in spain instead of australia…. spain?
How come in spain when the holidays starts… everyone young and old goes on holidays across spain to the coast lines… So okies when the holidays begings why is spain allways so facinated with the terms (summer holidays and the beach) ? is that all spain does just summer holidays and the beach? Course i watch spain television and they allways constantly talk and excitement about summer holidays and the beach….. then they repeat how hot it is in summer in spain… as if everything is new for them…
Then i see spain is jamped with cars all over the roads.. just course everyone wantst to go to the beach for days… So why just the beach all the timesn in spain ? isnt there anything els then just the beach all the times ? course the television there they allways talk about celebrities and people at the beach and allways about the beach and summer holidays….
As if summer holidays is seems a huge aspect a huge deal for them….. Remember not everyone in spain can take a holiday in summer… course spain must continue to work the economic obviously….
But yeah im not a beach person and defently not a summer holiday person.. so why spain makes a big fuzz about this while thing about summer holiday ?
I mean if everyone goes on holidays in summer then no wonder why the beaches of spain is packed with people and not really enough space to have your own tranquility there..
I like to hear from you about this…
But remember in australia the thing about summer holidays and the beach isnt a huge big deal as spain seems to be….. in australia anyone who wants to take a holiday they can do it whenever summer… winter.. autumn spring whatever… but its not like australia everyone goes on holidays to the beach the inture nation population… So okies spain has more history an theres more to offer then just the summer and the beach….. but australia is recent and its not a big fuzz here with everyone full on about the beach in summer….
I havnt seen the beaches on queensland australia been packed all over the sand like spain would with people…
I like to hear about this from you between both SPAIN vs AUSTRALIA.

It depends on what you mean by “summer”. The seasons are reversed in the northern and southern hemisphere. When it’s August in Spain, the weather is hot and they like to go to the beach. In Australia, August is still winter and not the best time for beach going.
If you’re asking why Australian beaches aren’t packed in December or January (when it’s summer there), it could be because they have a lot more beaches so each one doesn’t need to get crowded. Or it could just be that different people like to do different things. Some people like the beach, others like the mountains, etc.

You would do much better to actually post your question in ENGLISH. What you have there is completely unintelligible…I’m gonna guess it’s Aussie slang or something, but it is NOT English.
I can’t make heads or tails of it…jamped? What does that MEAN?
People go on holiday when school lets out EVERYWHERE. How does Spain figure into that?
The reason the Spanish all go on holiday in summer is because, for most of the country, winters are so cold that summer is something to look forward to and enjoy. In Australia we have more chances to get away to warmer climates during our winter – that’s the time I always travel to Europe – so we have the opportunity to take our holidays year round.
There is also a huge difference between population and land mass. Australia has so many beaches that we’re spoilt for choice in summer. Though I can recall seeing some Sydney and Melbourne beaches packed during heatwaves, just check out Brighton beach in Melbourne and Bondi in Sydney. In Spain, not only is the coastline more limited, but there are not only Spanish people flocking to the beach, but tourists from all over Europe as well.
@Dart – no, there’s definitely no Australian slang in the question, it’s just written in extremely bad English!
