Should I take a year out of Uni to travel to New Zealand?
Question by dvdman1873: Should I take a year out of Uni to travel to New Zealand?
Hi,
I am currently in my 2nd year doing Business Management and seriously thinking about taking a leave of absence in my third year to go on a working holiday with my gf.
Its something I have really wanted to do and would like to go to New Zealand
Its a big decision though to take a year out and wont be cheap,
any advice on the year out or NZ or other places or Working holidays would be much appreciated

Not really a good idea . After that year you will be dissapointed that you have to do the following years study. You can see all of New Zealand in a month and the only work you are likely to get is poorly paid fruit picking and some of those days you will be rained off. Can’t you just have a months holiday there and continue with your studies.

Why not? Everyone wants, and need a break, and if you don’t do it now, it could be years before you could take a decent holiday.
For info on working holiday to NZ and to see if you quailfy go to http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/work/workingholiday/
NZ is a gorgeous country so go for it.
