I want to go to Whitehaven Island for a holiday with my girlfriend…
Whitehaven Island is in Australia.
Please tell me what you think of my idea, and please give provide me with other suggestions.

Yeh why not, if you’re not from Australia though make sure you spend a little time here and see the sights too.

Whitehaven is perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches and islands in the Great Barrier Reef.
HOWEVER, there is no accommodation on the island. You can stay at a nearby resort island (my preference would be Hook Island) and arrange a day trip to the island, or you can try bareboating if you have any sailing experience or book onto a cruise which will overnight off the beach. Another option is to stay at the much cheaper Airlie Beach or Shute Harbour on the mainland and catch one of the ferries out to the island for a day trip.
