I do like a bit of bargain shopping but it is not essential.

Bali and Vanuatu are such different places!!!
Vanuatu (if it hasnt changed in 10 years) is completely unspoiled. Naturally beautiful, GREAT diving, friendly people. Not a great variety of tourist acomadations, though.
Bali, also is beautiful, but waaay too many people!! The nicest beach, Kuta, is horrible for vendors! The rest of the beaches seemed to be destroyed by hotels using the beach sand for their construction. Huge variety of touristy options tho.

Must admit love the people of Bali but hate what tourism has done to the place. That said, shopping is not a big tourist activity in Vanuatu, but if you are after bargains, have a look at http://www.vanuatu-hotels.vu .
