Question by trucksandtrains: What documents are nessesary for New Zealand travel?
My husband and I are traveling to New Zealand in September for 3 weeks. Are there any other documents or paperwork we would need besides passports? Would we need visas?
Thanks!

Looks like you’ll need a Visa…. See website for full instructions.
It depends on your passport country as citizens of many countries don’t need a visa for New Zealand for a stay of up to 3 months. Check the following to see if you qualify for visa free entry:
http://glossary.immigration.govt.nz/VisaFreeCountries.htm
If you are from Australia all you need is your passport you can stay as long as you want. If you are from most countries British etc then you need your passport and the visa happens when you arrive . You fill out a questionaire on the plane and are allowed for 3 months as a visitor. If for some reason they suspect you are going there to work and telling lies on the form then you will be questioned
