Q&A: is there a way you can not get your period when you go on holidays?
Question by Jessica: is there a way you can not get your period when you go on holidays?
I’m planning to go to fiji in december and I calculated that I should get my period 1 week before I depart. Sometimes it’s late and depending on this month I might get it while i’m on holidays which I really don’t want to have.
is there a way I can stop it or make it come early??

Some contraceptions can stop or delay the period e.g. the pill or the implanon. But I recomend you should speak to your doctor before hand.

When on the contraceptive pill some women can skip the white or red pills (the sugar pills you take when you get your period) and continue taking the hormone pills right through and this can stop your period from coming. I have spoken to my doctor about this and she assures me it is not dangerous and in fact you only need to get your period 3-4 times a year to be safe.
Uhm no .
Your period will come when it pleases. Sorry , that’s just how it works.
Make sure to bring plenty of pads/tampons and anything else you will need. But , you may luck out and not get it . Periods can be un predictable , you could start tomorrow or you could start in a few months. You just don’t know .
Sorry .
i agree with Kristy…
the way it works is you will always get your period when you’re on vacation, or when theres a big event, basically when you dont want it. isn’t that just great?!
