I’d love to go someday, but it’s a long way from Boston USA to Australia, and there are many closer wonderful places.

Australia is a beautiful and fascinating place, but the travel times and expenses make it difficult for a lot of tourists.
Australia is such an amazing place to visit, actually i ve been staying here for 6 months as a visitor, travelled both the eastern and western coast and there is definitly something to see, but Au is not touristic flown side cause its expensive to holiday there due to the long way and there are lots of plases in the world offering better service and for less money
It’s solely due to the gun laws being so restrictive in violation of our god given right to own and shoot everything else on the planet.
The main reasons why Australia isn’t more of a tourist destination is people’s perception of it as:
1. A far-away country that takes a full day and a lot of money to fly to or from.
2. A sparsely populated country that is mostly desert, surrounded by shark-infested waters.
3. A country with little in the way of culture, history, art, or architecture of interest to outsiders.
4. A country that is more expensive to visit than most others on a list of potential holidays.
5. Countless other places to holiday at, not as far away, with much more of interest, for less money.
I’m not saying that all of this is true; I am saying that is the perception. The fact that Australia requires a visa of US citizens while almost all of North America, South America, and Europe don’t require visas of US citizens doesn’t help. The fact that Australia requires a visa of US citizens while the USA doesn’t require a visa for Australian citizen doesn’t help, either.
