Q&A: How much weight would be a sensible amount to lose in 7 months?
Question by Chelsea: How much weight would be a sensible amount to lose in 7 months?
I am going on a tropical holiday in 7 months (approximately) to New Caledonia. I have quite a big tummy and I’d like to wear a bikini by then. I don’t need tips on how to lose weight, I already know – eat healthy and exercise, drink a ton of water =]
I just need to know how much weight would be sensible and healthy to lose in 7 months that will help me lose all that excess flab =]
Thanks guys!
Xx
I’m 14,
77 KG ( 169 pounds )
175Cm Tall ( 5”7 1/2 )
I was hoping to get down to 65kg? Would that be okay? I think that’s about 22 pounds in 7 months?

Work really hard and you could possibly push on to a 2 stone loss. More realistically id say a stone and a half, with hard work and the right diet.

you will loose alot at first, then it slows down after the first couple months. overall average for 7 months, i would say that 2lb per week is a reasonably healthy amount of weight do loose. so like 50lb is totally doable provided your loosing consistantly and avoid plateaus.
about 10kg would be safe for your hight to lose dont go under 65kg because then you will be getting under weight for your hight
also have a look at this clip it will give to a long term idea on how to keep a flat tummy

Generally doctors recommend losing only 1-2 lbs a week [sorry, I'm not fancy enough to convert it to kgs
]. You may lose more than that the first week or two, but after that, you don’t want to drop more than that a week. Slow and steady wins the race
When I was 18 I lost 50 pounds in about 6 months and I’ve had to deal with extra skin no matter how much I work out. It’s really quite distressing because I know, for instance, that I have a six pack under all the extra skin.
However, I might be an extreme case as I’ve heard of other people doing similar things and having a much smaller amount of extra skin.
You’re only 14 and I think that really helps since your body is still growing and more resilient (although working out can hurt your growth). Use my example and don’t lose as much as me. Although, 50 pounds would be fairly hard to lose for normal people in 7 months (I had very extreme conditions that I will not get into).
If you make a mistake, the skin will go away over time, but it’s a real pain and almost as heartbreaking as still being chubby.
edit:
22 lbs is definitely doable and healthy in 7 months. That’s even less than a lb/week.
Make sure you throw in some crunches and leg ups into your routine every other day so that you can really see the results as you lose weight. You’ll shave off the pounds and start seeing a nicer, more toned you. It’s so nice to start seeing that.
