Q&A: How much is a flight from Australia to England/vice versa?

Question by Hydra: How much is a flight from Australia to England/vice versa?
I really need to know soon. I have some money put away and I want to meet up with my girlfriend who lives in Australia. I have a place she can stay at so I don’t need to worry about accommodation costs.

It depends when you fly, what airline, departure and arrival cities, and the class of service.

British airways were advertising some for $999 but you have to book about 6 months ahead. Usually around $1500.

I’m flying from Aust to Eng at the end of the year so I’ve been looking at this too!

Flights seem to be around AUD1900 at present (Singapore Airlines, econonomy). SIA had a promotion where if you book now, and the flight goes cheaper, you get a refund of the difference. Not sure if this was a one time thing or if it’s for the whole year (due to GFC and they want people flying)

Cheapest business class by a mile is Royal Brunei – AUD2400 each way.
