Has anyone taken a nice beach holiday with there young children? mine will be two years and 6 months when we plan to go. Well the Cayman Islands are a beautiful, small and safe place to go on vacation we have beautiful clean beaches, we have a Turtle Farm where the young ones can touch/pick up live baby sea turtles, see sharks and crocodiles. We also have a Dolphin Cove where children under 5 yrs get to hug and kiss the Dolphins in the water. It is such a fun place and extremely safe.

your doctor will have the info on vaccinations for u and the babies. no guarantee of kids on the beach the same age as yours depends on luck. be careful with the little ones around the water. have fun wherever u decide to go.

While we love traveling to Fiji, I don’t think I would go with an infant. I hate to say it, but the medical care just isn’t as good as you are used to in Australia. And they have been having Dengue fever outbreaks lately.

Have you thought about going up to Port Douglas or Surfers or the Whitsundays or Heron Island or Lizard Island? They’re all great destinations, and you would still be close to good medical care for your young ones.

If you really want to get out of Australia, maybe you should go to Hawaii where you would have access to good medical care also.

Once your kids get a little older, by all means take them to Fiji. They will have a wonderful time and they won’t be quite as vulnerable once they are older.

Where ever you go, have a wonderful time!

PS: I just found a website geared to US travelers going to Fiji and linked it below. I think you will find it interesting as it discusses immunizations and concerns when traveling with children.
