Q&A: Booking flights to australia but want to do a few days stop over in bangkok on the return flight?

Question by Clarie: Booking flights to australia but want to do a few days stop over in bangkok on the return flight?
Im booking flights to australia and on the return I want to stop in Bangkok. I have previously visited Bangkok but unfortunately our time there was rather limited and involved replacing my friends passport. Really want to visit again so was wondering if its possible to book flights to australia and choose to have a few days stop over because i have found flights with stop overs in hong kong/ Bangkok but only for a few hours.

You will need to go to a travel agent (eg. flight centre) for this. Online bookings will only allow you to do a straight flight with a few hours stopover. It shouldn’t change the price too much.

Of course you can. But i agree i would probably use a travel agent for this, as buying two separate tickets may become too expensive. Last time I stayed 3 days in Singapore on a stopover and it didnt change the price of the tickets.
