Is it insensitive for Aussies to complain being stranded in Fiji hotels when local Fijians have died? Whingers?

Question by Degrassi Original: Is it insensitive for Aussies to complain being stranded in Fiji hotels when local Fijians have died? Whingers?
Especially when one of the Australians stranded said “she bought the holiday in full knowledge it was the rainy season but that authorities had let them down allowing them to fly into it.”

I think they need a glass of harden the fark up to be brutally honest.

Tough luck for them, but it’s not like they’re dead. Honestly the tsunami was far worse, but instead of complaining- those people did as much as they could to help the locals.

I think it’s just BECAUSE these guys were so well sheltered from the worst of it that they’re whining like they are. I mean, from what I understand- this time the majority of them didn’t witness bodies floating past them from their hotel lobby. It just got their stuff wet and had to wait around for a flight home. Boo hoo. Think of the six families of the locals who died.
