You definitely do not want to go tanning. Or swimming in Chlorine. You should wait probably over a month just to make sure. It should be completely healed. Tanning causes fading as well. I would wait over a month anyways to be on the safe side. If you DO expose it to the sun, put sunscreen on it with a high SPF to protect it.

Two weeks, or till the tattoo is smooth to the touch when you run your hand over it, DON’T pick the scab! It has to dye the skin before it comes off.
At LEAST two weeks, and even then, you will need to use a strong sunblock on it to protect it.
