How much money should I bring with me to Australia for 3 weeks of holiday?

Question by ME: How much money should I bring with me to Australia for 3 weeks of holiday?
Hotels, domestic flights, and international flight have already been paid for so all I’m taking is spending money. I’m not a big shopper, I use a flask when I go out at night lol, and we are going to do a lot of beach days. We will be in Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland, and Cairns. How much money do you think I should bring? k per week or more or less?

and if it matters I live in the USA :)

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

I lived there, youl like it for 3 weeks. Go to the Opera House and the Gardens i would say about 1.2k a week the exchange rate is about even however the USD is slightly stronger so youd get about 1.5 AUD a month which is VERY generous unless you plan on spending alot.

But for a good holiday yes 1k-1.5k a week is good.

  1. You should bring five K just in-case, have a great time.

You will be stopping by in my town of Melbourne. It’s a little cold here at this time of the year, so bring a thick jumper and Umbrella.

    Have a great vacation

  2. I spent about 2K USD For 2 weeks while I was there, not counting food + lodging. I went out every night so it’ll depend on what you do. I’d say 1k to 1.5k usd a week if your going to be doing a lot every night. Sydney has a lot of nice places to eat so you should check them out. I got wiped out by a wave taking a picture on the beach :X lol was crazy. I’m also from the U.S. so have fun!
