It depends on what part of Australia you are flying out of, obviously if you are in Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs etc .. it wil; take a lot longer than 2-3 hours.
Generally if you are flying from Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne to Auckland/Wellington/Christchurch it’s about 2-3 hours. Add another 4 hours on that to ‘check in’ (2 hours ahead for international flights) and the extra time for going through customs etc.
Melbourne to Auckland is 3 & 1/2
Check in at international airports is reccomended 3 hours before flights Pick up bags & customs at the other end up to an hour.
absolutely ,yes go to nz too it’s gorgeous and quite different from aussie.
takes about 3 1/2 hours and you can get some cheap flights through flight centre and there are great deals on accomodation in
