More than a bit wet in quite a bit of it at the moment, there’s record flooding.
But normally we live in paradise.
A lot depends on when you’ll be here and what you like to do.

We have it all ! Amazing beaches , the greatest coral reef with its unique marine life … tropical rainforests … tourist resorts to suit both the most private &/or public needs …adventure experiences from white water rafting & bungee jumping to para sailing & gliding …
Failing that you can always find a quiet spot under a coconut tree & read a book !
We had the wettest summer on record and floods. It’s our Autumn now and it’s still warm and humid. It should start to cool down end March or April. Queensland has many beaches along the coastline – famous ones are Gold Coast and Whitsundays. There are islands to visit off the coast, theme parks such as Dreamworld, Movieworld. Seaworld, Wet n Wild. You will like staying by the beach as it’s still close to other attractions as well. Aussies and particularly Queenslanders are very laid back, friendly and easy to get on with. Our country has the usual pressures that most western countries have but Qld is quite safe compared to the other southern states. As long as you use common sense as a tourist, you should have a good holiday. I hope you have a nice time over here.

Life is really good in Queensland! I used to live in New South Wales but now i’ve been up here for many years and i really love Queensland. There are so many national parks here, the Great Barrier Reef, and the weather is so much warmer than down south – which i personally like. If you want to really enjoy beaches .. be aware that anything north of Rockhampton will be no good during the summer months (October-March) because of the poisonous jellyfish in the waters. You can only swim in swimming closures and also, there’s no surf waves up north because of the Great Barrier Reef which stops the big waves reaching the coast.
Queensland is one the best place in Australia to stay..You can try fruit/veggie picking job to earn extra money for your vacation..
