Has anyone ever use the InterExchage program to work and travel australia? what was your experience?
Question by traveling to australia: Has anyone ever use the InterExchage program to work and travel australia? what was your experience?
My boyfriend and I are planing to travel to Australia for about a year and we found a program called InterExchage where they provide with a bunch of services to help you find a job and visa assistance.
Has anyone used this program? or does anyone know of any good programs that they or someone they know has used for a similar situations?
We are just a little skeptical because the way the economy is right now, we are not sure we might be able to find a job.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I haven’t heard of anyone’s experience with them but you definitely won’t need any help with your visa if you’re from a country that has Working Holiday arrangements with Australia. WH visa are fast and easy to get and only cost AUD5 if you do the application yourself.

Jobs are another matter. Most working holiday makers don’t stay in one city for very long but travel around picking up casual work in food/bar service, fruitpicking etc. as they go. If that’s how you want to approach it, I can’t see how any agency could be of much help and that type of work shouldn’t be too badly affected by a recession. I guess they could be useful if you’re looking for longer term jobs but I’d want some guarantees before I forked out any money. Job recruiters in Australia don’t ever charge the employee and if the jobs are available to InterExchange, then they should be available to you too.
