Malolo Lailai Island Resort (Musket Cove Resort) is awesome if you want a laid back holiday, but also want to do some stuff. They have a spa, snorkling, diving, fishing, golf, rent a boat/canoe, and a bunch of other stuff. You also have access to 3 other resorts on the same island, all within walking distance. So there are several restaurants to choose from and even a general store. I’ve stayed there 5 or so times when I was younger (we would “live” in Fiji for a couple of months at a time), we always ended up staying in the local village on the adjourning island though as we were good friends with a lot of the villagers. Have some great memories when we stayed there..
If you wanted to stay on the main island, Nadi Bay Resort Hotel is nice too, they are really friendly and have great food. Plus, there is 3 awesome pools!!! You can do day trips out from there, Nadi is just a bus ride away and Lautoka is great for local shopping.
But if you really want to experience Fiji, rent a car to travel around the main island and make some tentative bookings in a few places. I say tentative because we always ended up meeting lovely people and staying with them in little out of the way villages where there is no reception and everything runs on generators. You gain a lot of memories. These are a few places I enjoyed in Fiji, but I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
