Can you have Australia Post pick up multiple Packages from your house?

Question by Pouki: Can you have Australia Post pick up multiple Packages from your house?
I have started a small home business and i send out around 30 packages a day but going down to the post day in day out and couple of times a day is a bit of a time waste. So, i was wondering if the Post office has a service that comes to pick up all the packages and then sends them off and you get a bill at the end of the month?…..I live in Victoria if that makes a difference…also if the Australia Post doesn’t do that, is there anyone that does?

The Australia Post website has quite a few options for businesses. Just click Business from the home page. Not sure what costs are involved or whether you need to be a ‘bona fide’ business. Another option is the Australia Post Courier system which, I understand, will pick up from homes, for a price.

You’ll need to arrange it through your local Australia Post Business Centre (not the corner PO). Thats where the drivers originate/finish from and where your parcels end up. They’re listed at the top of the Australia Post White Pages listing.
As far as I understand it, if you spend a certain amount on postage per day as per a contract that they’ll get you to sign then you’ll get a pickup for free but if you fall below that mutually agreed level on any day then they will charge you a pickup fee.
They probably require you to have an ABN at least.
Also, If you want a pickup at a time thats doesn’t fit in with the existing run of the driver/s that service your area then you’ll also be looking at a courier fee
I don’t know about the monthly account. Fortnightly may be the best you can do
