Why don’t Americans feel threaten by North Korea?
Question by Boston: Why don’t Americans feel threaten by North Korea?
North Korea tests their nukes on every national American holiday. (4th of July, memorial day, etc.)
This obviously isn’t a coincidence…
North America is such a dictatorship that most of their citizens are brainwashed to think that
America is the reason that they are being starved, when it is really the corrupt Kim Jong-il
We currently do not have the technology to stop a nuclear bomb that takes 6-7 minutes traveling from N.Korea to California (so the public is told)
Who thinks we should increase the number of troops we currently have at the North South Korean border waiting to invade if they launch?
“Dylan” – America is not a country on Russias death list, NK wants us all killed

if their army didn’t faint from hunger, we might be worried

They spent $6 billion on fireworks on the birthday of Jong-il.
Again, how did we contribute to NK’s hunger?
Sorry, I misread your question.
The best right now, is wait it out to see how this whole brotherly fighting for power will turn out.
Vlad Putin,
-largest stockpile of nukes in the world
-smarter and more clever than Obama and Bush (and both parites) combined
-sells weapons to ANYONE
-has the west dependant on his gas and oil
-rise in Russian defense spending
Please, N Korea to Russia, no contest.
These guys are no threat to us because they cannot reach us. I mean, who cares about California? It’s a liberal bastion.
First of all, I believe you meant to say North Korea where it says “North America is such a dictatorship…”
Now, why don’t I feel threatened by N. Korea? Simple. Because they’re not a threat. You must realize that the North Koreans have had very little in the way of modernization since 1953, and what little modernization has come is in the form of bourgeois goods and materials for the leaders of the totalitarian state. The people live in constant poverty, while their “Dear Leaders” are importing European cars and goods so that they can maintain an extravagant lifestyle. As a Socialist, I find it sickening. These people are being starved for the wellbeing of the upper classes – the exact opposite of true Socialism. Yes, their military holds one of the largest number of soldiers in the world, but their uniforms haven’t changed since the armistice. And if that doesn’t persuade you, think about this: if the leaders of N. Korea really wanted to go to war, what’s stopping them? It’s the fact that if they went to war they would stand the obvious chance of losing, and with defeat comes the end of the military regime, which entails the end of the upper class’s luxuries. It isn’t that they are building up their arsenal so that they can bomb all the surrounding area, it’s that they want to be sure that their fine lifestyles aren’t threatened. And there you have it – greed.
